Waterboy, a functional hydration brand, has expanded distribution to Target stores, adding to its direct-to-consumer presence. The brand is represented by AZIONE. Founded in 2021 by Mike Xhaxho and Connor Saeli, Waterboy offers three targeted electrolyte powder formulas: Daily Hydration for everyday use, Sports Recovery for workouts, and a recovery product for nighttime use. The Daily Hydration formula contains 4x the electrolytes, zero sugar, zero calories, and is non-GMO, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and made in the USA.
Early Traction Through Social Waterboy gained initial momentum on TikTok before physical product launch.
An early video about the brand reached approximately two million views, leading to a complete sellout of the first 4,000-unit production run within one hour.
Target Availability At Target, Waterboy's Daily Hydration line is available in two flavors.
The Watermelon variant ($17.69, 12-count box) and Tropical Snowcone variant ($17.69, 12-count box) are now stocked. Direct-to-consumer pricing at Waterboy.com ranges from $24.99 for individual 15-count pouches to $44.98 for a 30-count Daily Hydration variety pack.
Why It Matters
The functional hydration segment has grown as consumers seek alternatives to plain water and sugary sports drinks. Retail placement at a mass-market chain like Target signals investor and distributor confidence in the category and presents growth opportunity for DTC-first hydration brands moving into traditional channels.
