New Luxury Wine Brand Honors Hollywood Icon ZZ Wines and Authentic Brands Group have unveiled Monroe Estates, a premium wine collection marking Marilyn Monroe's centennial birthday year. Developed in partnership with Fairwinds Estate, a historic Napa Valley winery established as the fourth in the region after Prohibition, the brand aims to blend Hollywood heritage with established winemaking credentials. The initial lineup, available exclusively through MonroeWine.com, includes a 2021 Chardonnay (Napa Valley), 2021 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley, Sonoma), and 2019 Red Blend (Napa Valley). Future releases planned for late 2026 and 2027 will expand the portfolio to include a Provence-style rosé, Super Tuscan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and California Calsecco sparkling wine.

Branding and Club Strategy Each bottle features Monroe's iconic signature and red-lip-kiss motif, with back labels showcasing authenticated Monroe quotes and images. The brand also plans to launch a Marilyn Monroe Wine Club offering flexible shipping, loyalty rewards, and exclusive access to limited releases. "Marilyn was the first celebrity brand we brought into the Authentic portfolio, and she continues to set the tone for how we grow iconic names with relevance and integrity," said Dana Carpenter, Executive Vice President of Entertainment at Authentic Brands Group. "Monroe Estates perfectly extends her legacy into the world of fine wine—elegant, multi-faceted, and full of life." Brandon Chaney, Managing Partner of ZZ Wines and Monroe Estates, added: "From Napa Valley to Hollywood Hills, Monroe Estates invites fans and wine lovers alike to raise a glass to 100 years of Marilyn—where Hollywood glamour meets Napa Valley excellence."

Distribution Timeline While direct-to-consumer sales via the brand website began immediately, retail and fine-dining placements are scheduled to roll out in late 2026 and 2027. Wine Club members will receive first access to limited releases and special experiences.

Why It Matters

The launch represents a significant celebrity licensing play in the premium wine segment, where heritage and storytelling command pricing power. For operators, the staggered retail rollout and direct-to-consumer model suggest the brand may occupy a niche position initially before broader distribution—worth monitoring if your venue targets affluent consumers seeking branded heritage experiences.
