Pink-Hued Baja Blast Arrives at Taco Bell in Olivia Rodrigo Collab Taco Bell and Mountain Dew are launching "You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast," a limited-time pink lemonade twist on the tropical lime drink, marking the first major flavor variant of the long-standing Baja Blast product. The new beverage blends Mountain Dew Baja Blast's signature tropical lime with pink lemonade notes, inspired by singer Olivia Rodrigo's aesthetic and recent album. The drink debuts exclusively at Taco Bell's Live Más Cafés on August 29, then rolls out to Taco Bell locations nationwide on September 24 for a limited time. A frozen version will be available at Live Más Cafés only. "One of my favorite drinks ever is a MOUNTAIN DEW Baja Blast, so I genuinely cannot believe You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast is real," Rodrigo said in a statement.
Launch Events and Merchandise Taco Bell is pairing the drink launch with multiple activation touchpoints.
On August 28, the brand will host a takeover of its Irvine, California Live Más Café location, offering exclusive merchandise and the drink ahead of the official debut. On August 29, Live Más Cafés across Southern California, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Houston will offer complimentary stickers with purchase while supplies last. The drink will also debut at Rodrigo's inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival on August 29, featuring an immersive Taco Bell activation with limited-edition merchandise, photo opportunities, and first access to the beverage. Taco Bell Rewards members will have access to an exclusive "Pretty Pink Picnic Kit" on September 29 via a Tuesday Drop, which includes a branded picnic blanket and basket. The kit has an estimated retail value of $113.
Pricing and Expansion At Live Más Cafés, You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast will be priced at $2.99 for small, $3.19 for medium, and $3.39 for large. The frozen version will cost $3.89 (regular) and $4.09 (large). Beginning October 1, the drink will also be available at select Taco Bell locations in Canada for a limited time. "The best partnerships create something fans didn't see coming," said Scott Finlow, Chief Marketing Officer for PepsiCo Global Away from Home, which produces Mountain Dew.
Why It Matters
The launch underscores Taco Bell's strategy of using celebrity partnerships and limited-edition products to drive traffic and media attention. Live Más Cafés, the brand's dedicated beverage concept, has become a testing ground for off-menu innovation—a model increasingly adopted by quick-service chains seeking to differentiate in a crowded category. The beverage's limited availability and artist tie-in are designed to create urgency and social media buzz among younger consumers.
