California Distillery Partners with UFC Champion on Limited Single-Barrel Release Sespe Creek Distillery in Oxnard has announced the first in a series of whiskey releases with two-time UFC Champion Valentina "Bullet" Shevchenko. The collaboration, dubbed Warbringer Bullet Edition, pairs the fighter with Master Distiller John Campbell, who spent 16 years at Scotland's Laphroaig distillery.

Specs and Sourcing Warbringer Bullet Edition bottled at 114 proof (57% ABV) retails for $95 SRP.

The single-barrel bottling is limited to 170 bottles. The mash bill combines mesquite-roasted Bloody Butcher red corn (65%), hand-roasted yellow corn (10%), and malted rye (25%). Tasting notes include honey sweetness, spice, and eucalyptus. Shevchenko said the selection process was deliberate: "This Barrel has the taste that I love. There was a rich, earthiness to it like being outdoors, and also sweetness and eucalyptus, which reminds me of home. The smoke I also love. In Kyrgyzstan, we cook over open fire. So that smell is family; it is a celebration." Campbell added context on the blind tasting that led to the final selection: "This is Valentina's Whiskey, and so the process was all about finding something she genuinely delighted in. We tasted through a lot of different barrels, but when she blind selected the Bloody Butcher, it was like 'Ahh right, of course!' It was a fun moment. She picked a delicious barrel."

Availability Bullet Edition debuts November 3 and will be available initially at WarbringerBourbon.com and in limited quantities at select retailers in California, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado.

Why It Matters

Celebrity-backed spirits continue to draw retail interest and shelf space in competitive categories.

Sespe Creek's emphasis on production specifics—heirloom corn varieties, single-barrel bottling, limited quantity—positions the release as a collectible rather than a mass-market product, a strategy that appeals to both whiskey enthusiasts and combat sports fans.
