Solar Power Meets Beer Storage Natural Light is betting that backyard beer enthusiasts will appreciate a cooler that runs on sunshine. The company has launched the CoolShed, a walk-in beer refrigerator powered primarily by high-capacity monocrystalline solar panels, in response to summer heat that routinely overwhelms standard garage refrigerators. The unit features an advanced temperature control system, insulating aluminum composite interior, and 250 cubic feet of cooling space—enough to hold dozens of cases. Heavy-duty shelving is built to handle the weight of bulk beer storage.

How to Enter Natural Light is running a sweepstakes through July 31st for consumers 21 and older to win a CoolShed by visiting NaturalLight.com/CoolShed. The first 500 entrants will also receive "Natural Light beer money" to use this summer.

Why It Matters

As extreme heat events become more frequent, outdoor entertaining spaces require reliable refrigeration solutions. A solar-powered cooler appeals to operators managing outdoor bars, event spaces, or high-volume beer retailers contending with seasonal demand spikes and energy costs during peak summer months.
