Keurig Dr Pepper (Nasdaq: KDP) reported third-quarter 2026 net sales of $7.34 billion, a 70.6% increase over the prior-year period, with volume and pricing gains across all legacy segments and a full quarter of contribution from the JDE Peet's acquisition that closed April 1.
Stripping out JDE Peet's, legacy KDP net sales grew 8.6% — a figure that more precisely reflects the company's organic commercial momentum. Volume/mix drove 6.5 percentage points of that growth, with net price realization adding 2.1 percentage points. For the first nine months of 2026, consolidated net sales totaled $18.63 billion.
Segment Scorecard
The U.S. Refreshment Beverages segment — home to Dr Pepper, Canada Dry, Snapple, GHOST, and Core Hydration — posted Q3 net sales of $3.03 billion, up 10.9% year-over-year. Volume/mix contributed 7.2 percentage points; net price realization added 3.7 percentage points. Adjusted segment operating income rose 8.3% to $884 million, representing a 29.1% adjusted operating margin. For distributors and wholesalers tracking depletions on CSD and enhanced-water SKUs, the double-digit top-line growth signals continued shelf velocity and on-premise demand strength heading into Q4.
U.S. Coffee — the Keurig single-serve brewing and pod business — delivered $1.02 billion in Q3 net sales, up 2.7%, with volume/mix growth of 6.9% partially offset by a 4.2-percentage-point drag from unfavorable net price realization. Adjusted operating income climbed 11.4% to $353 million, aided by a $99 million benefit from tariff refunds in the quarter — a one-time input-cost tailwind with direct implications for supply-chain budgeting. That tariff benefit also flowed into gross margin calculations for cold-chain planners assessing the coffee pod co-pack landscape.
The newly consolidated JDE Peet's segment contributed $2.65 billion in Q3 net sales. Adjusted operating income reached $480 million, representing an 18.1% adjusted operating margin — a meaningful addition to the KDP enterprise as the company positions the global coffee business for its planned separation into a standalone entity. Internationally, the KDP International segment grew reported net sales 11.0% to $644 million, though constant-currency growth was a more modest 7.6% due to foreign-exchange headwinds, particularly in Mexico where a new beverage tax pressured margins.
Full-Year Guidance
KDP reaffirmed its 2026 full-year outlook, projecting consolidated net sales in the range of $25.9 billion to $26.4 billion — incorporating $8.3 billion to $8.4 billion attributable to JDE Peet's. The company targets constant-currency adjusted diluted EPS growth in a low-double-digit range for the full year, with 3% to 5% constant-currency EPS growth for the legacy KDP business. At current exchange rates, foreign currency translation is forecast to be approximately a half-percentage-point tailwind to net sales and EPS growth.
CEO Tim Cofer credited stepped-up brand investment and productivity savings as the operational levers behind the quarter's earnings performance: refreshment beverages maintained double-digit sales growth momentum while the coffee segment, led by JDE Peet's profitability, delivered solid adjusted margins despite inflationary input-cost pressures.
Separation and What's Ahead
The strategic backdrop for distributors and supply-chain operators is KDP's planned separation of its beverage and coffee portfolios into two distinct publicly traded companies. That structural shift — still on track per management — will eventually create separate supplier relationships, route-to-market agreements, and distributor contracts for the refreshment-beverage and global-coffee businesses. Wholesale partners who currently operate under combined distribution arrangements should expect contract and territory reviews as the separation milestones approach.
Operating cash flow for Q3 reached $1.04 billion, and free cash flow totaled $1.01 billion, underscoring the financial capacity to fund integration costs, marketing investment, and the eventual separation. The company's pro forma management leverage ratio stood at 4.1x as of September 30, 2026, reflecting the significant debt incurred to finance the JDE Peet's transaction.
