Hart-Backed Tequila Brand Enters Blanco Category Gran Coramino Tequila, co-founded by Kevin Hart and 11th-generation tequila producer Juan Domingo Beckmann, has launched Gran Coramino Blanco nationwide, the brand's first unaged expression and fourth variant in its portfolio. The blanco targets the category's largest segment. Made from 100% Blue Weber Agave, deep well water from Jalisco, and Gran Coramino's proprietary yeast, the expression follows the brand's production methodology: agave harvested at peak maturity (six to eight years), slow-cooked for 36 to 40 hours in brick ovens, extracted through a four-step roller mill, fermented for 40 to 50 hours in closed stainless-steel tanks, and double-distilled in copper pot stills.
Production Standards Drive Simplicity "People hear simple, and they automatically think 'easy'.
Well, I am here to tell you, that is not the case," Hart said. "With three ingredients there is nowhere to hide, so while the recipe may be simple, the outcome is perfection. Like all our other variations, we kept working to perfect Blanco until it was as smooth as everything else with our name on it. Hard Work Tastes Different, and as always, our Blanco is the hardest worker on the liquor shelves." The blanco profile opens with cooked agave, light citrus, subtle black pepper, and floral notes, then layers sweetness, minerality, and peppery spice with a clean finish.
Positioning Within Portfolio Gran Coramino Blanco is completely unaged, distinguishing it from Gran Coramino Cristalino, which is aged two to four months as a reposado, then charcoal-filtered for crystal clarity. The blanco highlights agave's natural complexity while the cristalino showcases the transformation through aging. The brand debuted Blanco in Atlanta as part of its Winners Only Tour, serving it as a Lemon Drop martini (2 oz Blanco, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, 0.25 oz triple sec).
Availability and Performance Gran Coramino Blanco is available nationwide in 750ml bottles at $34.99 SRP and 375ml bottles at $18.99 SRP. The brand carries NOM 1612 certification. Gran Coramino has surpassed $200 million in retail sales since its founding and operates The Coramino Fund, which has invested over $1.7 million in entrepreneurs through grants to small business owners across Mexico and the U.S.
Why It Matters
The blanco launch extends Gran Coramino's reach into the fastest-growing tequila segment while maintaining the brand's positioning around production craft and smoothness. For operators, the three-ingredient formulation and entry-level pricing ($34.99) offer a differentiated option in the competitive blanco category without sacrificing margin potential.
