French Liqueur Targets Aperitif Market Pegasus Distillerie has introduced Eau d'Or, a French liqueur positioned for warm-weather aperitif occasions. The spirit is organic, vegan, and formulated without added sugars, gluten, or additives, drawing inspiration from the French Riviera's tasting profile. The liqueur balances lemon, orange, and orange blossom notes, designed to appeal to operators and home bartenders seeking lighter cocktail options for brunch and early-evening service. Eau d'Or is distributed through direct-to-consumer channels.
Cocktail Recipes The distillery has released two signature serves: Golden Spritz: 2 oz Eau d'Or, 3 oz Champagne or sparkling wine, 1 oz sparkling water, garnished with an orange slice. Golden Paloma: 2 oz Eau d'Or, 0.25 oz Orion Gin, 0.25 oz fresh lime juice, topped with grapefruit soda and garnished with grapefruit.
Why It Matters
The aperitif segment continues to expand as operators and consumers seek lower-ABV, pre-dinner cocktail options. Organic and clean-label positioning aligns with growing demand for transparent ingredient sourcing in the spirits category.
