Consolidation Play in Spirits Events Market

The Daily Pour, the media and events platform founded by TV personality Dan Abrams, has acquired Whiskey Riot, positioning itself as the nation's largest producer of whiskey festivals.

The deal marks the company's third acquisition in 24 months, following The WhiskyX festivals, and adds to a portfolio that now includes four festival brands: Whiskey Washback, Whiskey Riot, Arte Agave, and Drinks with Benefits. The company plans to host at least 30 events nationwide in 2027, doubling its 2026 slate.

Multi-Platform Integration Strategy

The Daily Pour operates beyond live events, combining its festival properties with an AI-powered spirits app, a newsletter, a review database, and a creator network with over 2.5 million followers across social platforms.

"The Daily Pour is the only platform in the country where a spirits or beverage brand can activate nationally – across events, content, and commerce – under one roof," said Dan Abrams, founder of The Daily Pour. "With the addition of Whiskey Riot, an exceptional brand with a loyal following, we are accelerating our growth and strengthening our position as the nation's dominant drinks event platform."

Whiskey Riot founder Bobby Finan added: "We built Whiskey Riot to celebrate the best of American whiskey culture, and The Daily Pour is the right home to carry that forward. Their infrastructure, brand relationships, and national reach will elevate what Whiskey Riot can offer consumers and sponsors alike. We're excited to be part of their team!"

Why It Matters

The acquisition signals continued consolidation in the fragmented experiential spirits market. For operators and brands, The Daily Pour's multi-channel approach—combining festivals with digital platforms and content—creates a centralized activation option. The company's stated focus on sponsorship and partnership opportunities across its portfolio could reshape how premium spirits brands reach consumers through live events and digital channels.
