Caliwater has expanded its Southern California footprint through a new distribution deal with Sweetfin, the fast-casual poke chain, bringing its hydration-focused beverages to all locations across LA, Orange County, and San Diego. The partnership includes a limited-time signature bowl called The Cali Bowl by Vanessa Hudgens & Oliver Trevena, available through October. The bowl features yellowfin tuna, pineapple, avocado, Fresno peppers, edamame, and macadamia nuts. Sweetfin is recommending pairing it with Pineapple Caliwater. Caliwater offers individual cans in Pineapple and Watermelon flavors at Sweetfin for $3.95. The collaboration positions the brand to convert restaurant trial into retail grocery purchases, as consumers discover the beverage and seek it out for home consumption. The deal capitalizes on several converging industry trends: functional hydration products, celebrity-backed brands, wellness-focused dining, and the growing integration of beverages into food experiences. Caliwater has built a notable roster of celebrity investors and users, including Benson Boone, Demi Lovato, Glen Powell, Gerard Butler, Nikki Reed, and Cody Bellinger.

Why It Matters

For operators, this move demonstrates a proven playbook for beverage expansion: leveraging celebrity partnerships and limited-time menu collaborations to drive trial and build direct-to-consumer momentum. Sweetfin's distribution network provides Caliwater access to a high-traffic, health-conscious consumer base—the exact demographic most likely to cross-purchase beverages in retail channels.
