Australian Whisky Brand Enters U.S. Market Archie Rose Distilling Co. is officially launching three core whisky expressions in the United States beginning October 23, marking the Sydney-based distillery's first major push into American markets. The launch follows the August announcement that actor Chris Hemsworth joined founder Will Edwards as co-owner of the independent producer.

## Product Range and Pricing The three whiskies hitting U.S. shelves are: - Straight Rye Malt Whisky ($49.99 USD): First released in 2019, this expression is made from Australian-grown rye and matured in charred virgin American oak at 46% ABV. It has been twice named World's Best Rye Whisky.
- Single Malt Australian Whisky ($59.99 USD): Crafted from six different Australian barley malts and bottled at 46% ABV, this whisky has been named Australia's Best Single Malt Whisky five times.
- Australian Original Whisky ($39.99 USD): A blend of the rye and single malt expressions bottled at 40% ABV, positioned as an approachable option for neat, on-ice, or cocktail service. All three whiskies are produced at Archie Rose's Sydney distillery using Australian-grown grains and matured in a combination of Australian fortified wine barrels, European oak, and American oak casks.

Brand Positioning and Campaign Hemsworth has played a leading role in reimagining Archie Rose's brand identity, including a new flask-shaped bottle design with textured glass inspired by the Australian landscape. The updated packaging uses lighter glass and streamlined design to reduce weight and improve freight efficiency, supporting the distillery's B Corp certification. To mark the U.S. launch, Archie Rose released a global creative campaign produced by Hemsworth and directed by Justin McMillan. The film, which premiered October 20, stars Hemsworth alongside his brother Luke and showcases eight locations across Australia. The campaign is available on Chris Hemsworth's YouTube channel and the Archie Rose website. "Archie Rose embodies the very best of Australia—from raw local ingredients to the incredible passion of the team behind the stills," Hemsworth said. "I've been a fan of Archie Rose for years because, quite simply, they make brilliant whisky. The awards speak for themselves, but it's the flavor and character of each expression that truly set them apart." Founder Will Edwards added, "This new chapter stays true to what has always defined Archie Rose: making exceptional whisky in Australia, from Australian-grown ingredients, with a genuine sense of place. We've spent the last twelve years refining our whiskies and we now have a portfolio and brand identity that reflects our Australian grown and made heritage, while giving us a strong platform to introduce Australian whisky to more people around the world."

Production and Sourcing Archie Rose operates its distillery in Botany, Sydney, where it ferments, distills, and matures each malt separately before blending. The distillery works directly with local farmers and maltsters, including Voyager Craft Malt in New South Wales, to source Australian-grown grains. Master Distiller Dave Withers stated, "Great whisky starts its life in the field. Our goal has always been to showcase the breadth, quality and distinctive character of Australia's raw ingredients through the innovation of our Sydney distillery. Partnering with Chris allows us to take that Australian craft to the global stage across our whisky range." Archie Rose has accumulated more than 450 global awards since its 2014 founding, including World's Best Gin. The distillery achieved B Corp Certification in 2026.

Why It Matters

For bar and bottle-shop operators, the Archie Rose entry into U.S. markets represents a growing category of non-traditional whisky producers gaining shelf space. The Hemsworth endorsement and consumer-facing campaign signal heavy marketing investment behind the brand's American push, likely to drive consumer awareness and trial in the coming months.
